fox 5 health alert now. a medical examiner says a man is dead. an autopsy confirms 47-year-old douglas winngate died last month after receiving a spinal injection connected to that nationwide outbreak. at least 184 people were made sick. a minnesota woman is the first to file a lawsuit in connection with the outbreak. the woman is suing the maker of the steroid after she was given an injection for back pain and experienced symptoms consistent

with fungal meningitis. she has been tested and waiting for the results. it is estimated nearly 14,000 patients have been given the tainted injections and could be at risk for developing the rare form of fungal meningitis. it's almost flu season, but a lot of people opt not to get a flu shot. the cdc is trying to bust the myths to keep people from getting the annual vaccine. george franko report. >> the flu shot is a mess for eric, a new dad to a little girl nearly three weeks old. >> got a newborn in the house. just to be extra special and take as many precautions to keep her health up. >> not everyone shares her enthusiasm. >> i feel like people get sick when they get it, i avoid it. >> the flu vaccine raised other concerns on our facebook page. >> jessica says that many vaccines are made with aborted fetal cells. true? >> i'm not aware of any human

two of the men police say were responsible for a vicious attack on capitol hill appeared in court this afternoon. tommy branch and sunny will remain jailed until their next hearing next month. a third system, michael moore, appeared in court yesterday and waived his right to a preliminary hearing. they are accused of beating thomas as he walked home in august. he suffered a traumatic brain injury in the attack. sentencing today for a former prince georges county school bus driver rammed her bus into a trailer last year. a judge sentenced teresa douglas for ten years in prison and ordered her to serve five of those years. prince georges county state's attorney, angela brooks says douglas was targeting a coworker. the trailer was used as an employee lounge for the bus drivers. >> miss douglas' conduct in my mind was absolutely absurd.

she was exacting revenge against an individual who was not even present in the building at the time that she rammed her bus, her school bus into the side of this building. >> douglas will be on probation for five years after she is released. a cleveland bus driver has been suspended after video surfaced of him punching a female passenger. a warning for you, the video you are about to see is disturbing. >> oh my goodness. another passenger recorded the moments leading up to the fight. it shows the two arguing and the passenger approaching the driver. you can't see exactly what she did to him, but moments later, you see the driver get up and punch the woman in the face knocking her to the ground. the cleveland transit authority is now investigatorring this very awful matter. coming up tonight at 5:00, a woman who glued her daughter's hands to the wall is sentenced for doing the unthinkable to her child. >> plus, we'll tell you why

three years after serving time on dog fighting charges, michael vick is a dog owner again. his family has a dog. in a statement vick said he understands the strong emotions some poem would feel about his decision to have a pet, but he says it's important to make sure his children develop a healthy relationship with animals. vick served 18 months in federal prison for his role in the dog fighting ring. a therapy dog who typically spends his days visiting cancer patients in florida is now battling cancer himself. take a look. this is conradt. he just finished radiation tweement on a snout and lost some of the fur in the process. conradt's owner says despite the cancer, the dog has a bucket list. a visit to seaworld. >> he had a bucket list. no better way than with a big smiling dolphin. >> doctors diagnosed the dog with a rare bone cancer in his nose. they say he is recovering and ready to get back to work.

front is making a difference. here are temperatures right now. they have been falling off the last couple of hours. 58 degrees here in town now. manassas 55. it's a little colder for winchester at 54. 57 in hagerstown. 56 in cumberland, way out west had a little more time for the cooler air to settle in. once the sunsets, temperatures will be falling further. one thing to talk about, too, behind this front, the winds have really kicked up a little bit. still gusting at 24 miles per hour for nationals. quantico is 26. dulles 25. and still back to the north and west, these winds are pretty healthy. they are gusting up around 20, if not above that. and i do believe most of the evening, most of the overnight, these winds will be around 10 to 15 miles per hour. once the sunsets, it will get a little cooler. 54 degrees at 7:00. we'll have a chilly breeze out there. certainly cooling down by 9:00.

in the upper 40s and by 11:00 here in town, 46, 47 degrees. and that is going to be chilly out at nats park. if you are headed out there, make sure you take something to bundle up. 7th inning, it's going to get cooler. colder for the suburbs by 11:00. some of the suburbs will be already down into the upper 30s. the frost and freeze, we have a frost advisory. we have a freeze warning. purple county is under the freeze warning. that's what we are thinking temperatures right at freezing, if a little below. if the wind will die down. if the wind stays again, right around 5, 6, 7 miles an hour. we have a frost advisory around the metro for d.c., fairfax county, down over to prince george, and further down to the south as well. that is where we think temperatures will be flirting with frost. here in town, we'll be lower

40s to upper 30s. i'm not suspecting that there's going to be a big frost issue here in town overnight tonight. so we'll go 42 overnight here in the city. gaithersburg, right at freezing, 32. frederick 28. dulles 34. manassas 37. and again, if the wind is over 5 miles per hour for most of the night, these temperatures probably won't be down to freezing or below. but again, we're going to go ahead and take the numbers down close to that. you'll know that be careful if you need to cover some plants or bring tender vegetation inside. a few clouds with the front moving on through. the rain has stayed up to the north of us and gets a spattering of mixture way up there in the new england states. high pressure is filling in. this is tomorrow's weather for us. it looks like we'll be mostly sunny. underneath high pressure, temperatures in the 60s. but only for one day, because for sunday, the warmer air is going to come right back up into the mid atlantic and beyond and we are talking temperatures here will be 70s

plus. we'll have a mixture of clouds and sun, but stay dry. i think sunday at this point is really looking pretty nice. tomorrow looks good, too, but sunday is good as well. overnight tonight, 41 here in town. freezing and frosting out in the suburbs. it will be mostly clear. right now, forecasting winds to stay right at 5, if not above that. it's real critical in terms of the overnight temperatures. tomorrow we are up to 62 degrees. it will be sunny and cool and a perfect fall day and we'll have a few clouds from here to there. but we are not expecting much in the way of cloud cover at all. just mostly sunny skies. a great fall day tomorrow. if you like it a little bit warmer, sunday is your day. 72 degrees. and then monday, we're going to have showers, maybe a spotty thunderstorm, temperature even warmer up to around 74. we cool off a little bit tuesday. all this on your fox 5 seven- day forecast that takes you all
